I have seen Tati play the character in Playtime (I own the Criterion Blu-ray) and loved it. It sounds similar to Mon Oncle. Lots of observational humor. It's as if he used Paris as a character in the movie. He sticks with that theme of showing modern technology (modern for 1967 anyway).
